Reasons for Testing
Pre-employment
Pre-Employment testing services give employers confidence knowing they are hiring the right fit for the job.
pre-access
Pre-access testing is completed when an employer requires a worker to complete drug testing to gain access to a worksite.

Reasonable suspicion testing can be completed when your employee is visibly impaired and acting erratically.
Return to work/Follow Up
Return-to-work testing is typically completed when employers have employees returning to work from a leave of absence, medical leave, substance abuse program etc..
Random
SureHire offers both DOT and Non-DOT Random testing services. Feel confident knowing all legal requirements will be met and best practices followed.
POST-incident
Post-incident testing is completed when an incident that cannot be explained through mechanical failure occurs in the workplace.
Types of Drug Tests
SureHire offers 2 drug testing methods:
- Express POCT (Point of Care Testing) provides quick, qualitative, same-day delivery.
- Lab-Based Testing provides quantitative, court-admissible test results in 2-5 business days.
There are a variety of testing types to choose from, including:
- Urine drug testing. This is the preferred method for substance detection because it offers expanded testing panels, accurate test results, and the ability to obtain a snapshot of recent drug use.
- Oral fluid drug testing. This is the referred method for post-incident or reasonable suspicion situations because it provides a short window for substance detection with minimal potential for adulteration. This drug screen option is extremely convenient as there are very few limitation as to where this test can be administered.
- Hair follicle testing. This is the preferred method for follow-up testing because it can be used to detect historical drug use. This type of testing can be completed only through a lab. (Note: a minimum of 1.5 inches of hair must be collected to perform hair follicle testing.)
Types of Alcohol Tests
SureHire offers 2 types of alcohol tests:
- Breath alcohol testing. This is the most common method used to detect alcohol impairment. This testing method offers accurate, court-admissible, same-day test results. All SureHire technicians are certified to complete Breath Alcohol testing using DOT (Department of Transportation) approved technology.
- Ethyl glucuronide (EtG) testing. This is a non-oxidative minor metabolite of ethanol formed within the body after alcohol consumption. We offer EtG testing through lab-based testing only. EtG testing can be added to any 5, 8 or 13-panel urine lab drug test or tested for separately.
