Medical History Review

Fitness-to-Work participants are asked to: sign a consent and release form, disclose their complete medical history, and complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q).

Health Check

This consists of height, weight, and blood pressure measurements and is administered to help determine if there are any contraindications to performing the Critical Strength & Mobility portion of testing.

Full Body Musculoskeletal Assessment

This involves examination of flexibility, grip strength, joint integrity, functional movements, and so on, to determine if a participant’s musculoskeletal and medical state safely matches the physical demands of the job

Modified Critical Strength & Mobility Testing (Health Assessment #1 only)

During Critical Strength and Mobility testing, participants attempt a series of functional movement stations, such as lifting and carrying, so their strength and conditioning can be assessed.

Healthcare Professional Review

Fitness-to-Work testing results are reviewed by a team of medical professionals (i.e. Physical Therapists, Certified Athletic Therapists, and Certified Chiropractors) who will provide a recomendation to hire through the Level 1-5 Assessment scale.

Level 1-5 Fitness-to-Work Result with Restriction and/or Modifications (If Applicable)

SureHire’s exclusive Level 1–5 assessment scale is used as a hiring recommendation, matching a participant’s abilities to the physical demands of their anticipated job position. Each level provides employers with potential restrictions or modifications for successful employment.

Vision Screening Optional

The participant will be guided through a series of 4 different vision exams to determine if they have the necessary visual function to safely perform their work duties. This tests include: Near Vision Testing, Far Vision Testing, Horizontal Field of Vision Testing, and Colour Vision Testing.
